Flight Testing

DST operates a fleet of fixed wing aircraft ready to support customer flight testing operations. All aircraft are modified and maintained to all applicable FAA and DOD standards and are operated in Normal category.

The entire DST fleet of aircraft are outfitted to meet the dynamic needs of our customer’s sensor testing needs. Modifications to the fleet have been done to make sensor testing as close to true “plug and play” as can be achieved.

DST works closely with NCRCC Special Operations personnel on a daily basis, allowing DST to rapidly receive flight authorization and approvals for otherwise restricted areas and flight profiles.

Training

DST maintains a training team of highly skilled and specialized instructors, providing comprehensive support for customer training requirements. With a team of Subject Matter Experts in various customer training requirements, we focus on delivering exceptional training in all customer mission activities

The DST training approach encompasses secure ground locations for classroom activities, flight operations for real world training experience and a cadre of highly skilled instructors and scenario actors. All of these capabilities under one roof allow DST to provide effective training for any mission need. 

Engineering Services

DST’s engineering team features mechanical, structural and systems engineers providing focused and flexible engineering solutions to our customer’s mission needs. We support FAA field approval and STC projects while also providing sustainment engineering and troubleshooting assistance at our facility and wherever the customer’s mission takes them.

Aircraft Modication

Having modified and continuously improved the capabilities of our own fleet since our beginnings, DST is well suited to offer our aircraft modification and systems integration services for customer owned aircraft as well. DST’s approach puts the mission operator and the aircraft maintainer’s needs at the start. This leads to user friendly designs that are modular and easy to maintain.

Customizing each solution to our customer’s individual needs is a challenge that DST rises to everyday. We work closely with our partners in the FAA to ensure all modification keep aircraft in normal category, either thru Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) or Field Approval methods. 

DST is pleased to provide in house avionics upgrades, custom cable harness fabrication, video and power distribution systems, primary and secondary aircraft structure modification, as well as workstation and equipment rack fabrication.
